About Me

Roya received her bachelor’s degree in
Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern
California in 2008. She remained at USC and received her
M.S. in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis in Devices
through the Progressive Degree Program in 2009. She joined
the Biomedical Microsystems Lab as a junior and was awarded
the WiSE Undergraduate Research Grant (Fall 2008). She was
also the recipient of an Outstanding Paper Award from the
15th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors,
Actuators and Microsystems, Denver (2008) as a second
author. She is currently a PhD student in Biomedical
Engineering at USC. She is working on the development of
wireless drug delivery devices for drug addiction studies,
as well as the design and fabrication of micro-microbial
fuel cells.
