Microfluidics

Microfluidic Interconnects and Packaging:

Novel reusable, in-plane polymer interconnects enable rapid, on-demand connections to microfluidic devices.  Our approach features plug-and-play connections between non-coring syringe needles and on-chip septums integrated into a microfluidic device.

Program in Geobiological Interface Imaging and Microfluidics (GIIM):

This program seeks to bridge microfluidics and geobiology by initiating partnerships between engineers, geobiologists and others.  Geobiology considers microbial influence on the earth’s environment and vice versa.  In particular, this program seks to seed interdisciplinary research and build prototype platforms to enable the investigation microbial ecology, microbe-microbe interactions, microbe-mineral interactions, and other geochemical reactions.
