About Me

 

Heidi Gensler graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2008 with a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a BA in German. At UT Austin she received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship and was a co-author for a peer-reviewed journal paper and two conference papers. She joined the Biomedical Microsystems Laboratory in the summer of 2008 as an incoming PhD student in Biomedical Engineering. In 2010 she was awarded a National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship and is currently developing drug delivery devices for applications including eye disease and cancer treatment. Heidi enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, trying new foods, watching movies, and learning Mandarin Chinese.
